APPLAUSE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, a non-profit organization, is proud to present our exciting calendar of musical productions for January to June 2010 Theater Season! APPLAUSE specializes in “Kids Performing for Other Kids!” providing a unique, comprehensive musical theater curriculum to build well-rounded, versatile entertainers! APPLAUSE is dedicated to providing quality Children’s Theater by training students in singing, dancing, and acting to become a “triple threat” performer: proficient in all 3 disciplines. The techniques of each art form are intertwined and intricately woven to form a tapestry of Theater Arts.
From Beginners to Advanced, boys and girls, ages 3 to 18, APPLAUSE offers fun and education while kids learn to sing, dance, act and “put on shows!” At APPLAUSE you are important to us whether you are a beginner or advanced and regardless if your goal is to have a professional career or to perform for the sheer enjoyment of it. There is always a place for you at APPLAUSE.
Our motto is “Anything we can do …You can do!” Our performing kids are trained in the arts with a purpose to encourage kids to believe in themselves. Each child has special talents! As educators it is our mission to bring out the full potential of our students. While a teacher and parent cannot “give” a child self-esteem, we can provide an environment that is challenging and rewarding.
APPLAUSE is an advocate of arts-in-education. A Theater Arts education lays an academic foundation for all language arts developing diction, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, memorization skills, critical thinking skills, as well as self-esteem, self-confidence, self-worth, and self-competence. APPLAUSE is dedicated to creating a positive, creative, fun environment for people to learn. Any person fortunate enough to study in the land of make-believe will benefit academically from the Arts.
APPLAUSE is proud to provide an outstanding faculty that is professionally trained, motivational and an inspiration to students of all ages. All this and more while you have fun, make friends and put on a great show! Whether a person desires to train in the performing arts as a hobby or professional career, the goal of APPLAUSE prepares these eager apprentices for fun and friendship in the world of entertainment. A nurturing, non-competitive atmosphere to learn, grow, and, most importantly, the ability to learn to recover from mistakes and move on - is what APPLAUSE is all about.
